Here some testimonies.
When I first discovered Punta Rucia, I immediately felt attracted by this wild and protected bay. This feeling was magnified by the kindness and authenticity of villagers. After travelling across the world, I finally decided to create Punta Rucia Lodge to make people discover another Dominican Republic along with a culinary French touch. A groundbreaking concept and within reach activities will make your stay unforgettable.

Oh, Punta Rucia Lodge! Our love affair was so brief and beautiful. I miss you already. This was my first impression of the Caribbean and I can't say I could have dreamed up a more idyllic place. We arrived after dark to a beautifully welcoming staff, a lobster dinner, and a starlit walk on the sandbar. Over the next two days we basked in the sun on a sandy-white beach, swam in crystal-clear waters and embarked on a complementary kayak excursion along the shore. We snorkeled in the reefs of Cayo Arena, toured the mangroves, took a sunset ride on the back of one of the hotel's 4-wheelers and sampled nearly every variety of rum cocktail ever conceived. AND we managed a siesta. Both days. The huts are pristine and complete with A/C, palm-thatched roof, and a paved walkway leading right up to our beach-facing porch. The beach is private to the point of seclusion, although if it's action you seek, the neighboring villages are only five minutes away. The infinity pool. The deck-side bar and restaurant. I'm not entirely certain the entire place wasn't just a lovely dream. Every single staff member was extremely gracious and treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Muchas muchas gracias, amigos!.

It's always nice when a place - despite the glowing reviews
exceeds your expectations. We visited mostly because we wanted to have a spot to visit Cayo Arena and arrive early before the hordes descended. But the entire experience was lovely. The rooms - in thatched buildings with almost an African flair - we're simple yet elegant and very comfortable. Throughout the resort the use of pretty local shells painted a pale blue captured the upscale, but understated aesthetic. The service in the restaurant was attentive yet not cloyingly so. Our waiter, Pedro, made sure that every moment of our dining experience was comfortable, relaxed and every detail was seen to. He always made sure our table was placed to ensure the best views and breezes and everything seemed to appear just before we even thought we might want it. We booked our tour of Cayo Arena though the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling experience and especially liked getting there and being ready to depart before boatload after boatload of others arrived to enjoy our little bit of paradise. The hotel fronts a long, shallow beach and the units are spaced so that you always feel a sense of privacy. This was our sixth or seventh visit to the DR and was definitely the nicest place we've ever stayed at. It's definitely worth the journey and we will not hesitate to return. Oh - and by the way, the food was delicious, from the tuna carpaccio to the fish and steak filets and the lunch they packed for us to enjoy at Cayo Arena. It made returning to our condo in Puerto Plata a bit of a let-down. Highly recommended..
